Occupying
the first floor of the front wing of the Farmhouse is the common room.
It is a spacious room with six windows surrounding three walls, flooding
it with natural light. On the floor is a handsome hand woven, oriental
prayer rug. On the wall are hung wooden sculptures by Fred Strugatz. Spread
throughout the room are bookshelves housing books covering the topics
of spirituality, mythology, philosophy, religion, and children's stories.
On the second floor is a broad collection of literature, including fiction
and poetry. Throughout the house are collections of journals covering
music, art, scientific though and discovery as well as natural history.
The Common Room also houses a small but impressive collection of video
tapes for the television unit in one corner of the room.
