In 1986, a spacious dining room that was added off the kitchen. It's cathedral ceiling is supported by two massive beams of hemlock timber that was locally harvested and milled. It took 7 persons to raise them to their present position.

 

Adorning the walls are watercolor and gauche paintings by Fred Strugatz, co-director at the IAM Center.

 

Two large picture windows offer a panoramic view of Beaver Valley and the mountain pass that leads north toward Towanda, the county seat of Bradford County, and the New York State border. Across from the barn below, you can see the beaver pond after which the valley is named.
