Directions from Philadelphia/Allentown (Alternate scenic
Rt. 87)
1. Take 17 to exit 60 (Sayre/Waverly).
2. Make a right at stop sign off exit.
3. Now on Route 220 South for approximately 35 miles passing through Athens,
Milan, Ulster, Towanda, and Monroeton. New Albany is eight miles from
Monroeton.
4. Pass through the village. As you leave, you will go around a bend in
the road and down an incline. As you come out of that,on the left will
be a Mobil Station. Also, on the right is a bright red barn set back several
hundred feet. Directly across from the Welles Mill Gas Station is a dirt
road called "Sayman Road". Make a right onto that dirt road.
5. IAM Counseling and Retreat Center is 1 1/4 miles out that road. At
about 1 mile is a fork in the road. Bear left. Stay on that dirt road
until you come to a cluster of buildings at the top of a steep hill. A
sign for IAM Counseling and Retreat Center is on a small white building
on the left. There is parking on either side of that building. When you
arrive, ring the doorbell on the large red house directly above the parking
lot.

1. Take Route 6 East to Troy.
2. At the second traffic signal in Troy (at the main intersection), turn
right onto Route 14 South.
3. Proceed on Route 14 for about 3 miles. You take Route 514 which will
begin on the left. This turn off is on a fairly sharp curve on Route 14.
Be careful making that turn.
4. Take Route 514 to the end. Make a left onto Route 414.
5. Take Route 414 to the end. Make a right onto Route 220.
6. You will be on Route 220 for about 8 miles before you reach the village
of New Albany. You will pass through the village. As you come out of the
village, you come down an incline and a curve to the left. At the bottom
of that, to the right, is Sayman Road. Take that right. Across from that
turn, on the left is Welles Mill Gas Station.
7. IAM Counseling and Retreat Center is 1 1/4 miles out that road. At
about 1 mile is a fork in the road. Bear left. Stay on that dirt road
until you come to a cluster of buildings at the top of a steep hill. A
sign for IAM Counseling and Retreat Center is on a small white building
on the left. There is parking on either side of that building. When you
arrive, ring the doorbell on the large red house directly above the parking
lot.
8. Allow at least an hour and a half travel time if this is your first
trip out.

1. George Washington Bridge to I-80 past Tannersville.
2. Then I-380 to Scranton.
3. At Scranton I-380 ends and becomes I-81 N & S. Take I-81 N (Binghamton).
The sign also says 6 West.
4. On the other side of Scranton, get off at Clarks Summit, Exit 194 (formerly
Exit 58) which is also the exit for 6W and 11N. (This is the second exit
marked for Routes 6 and 11. The first is for 6E and 11S. Don't take this
one. The exit is about two miles further.)
5. After about 11 miles, Routes 6 and 11 will separate. Just before the
separation, about 100 yards, there is the Blue Bird Diner on the right.
There is a small sign that says, "Tunkhannock - 9." At the exit
for Rt. 6 bear right. Make that right. Stay on Rt 6 for 30 miles after
that.
6. You will pass by a town called Laceyville. About 5 miles after Laceyville,
the road will become a 4 lane highway for a short run. Less than a mile
after that, you will pass a Shell Gas Station (Pen-Mart) on the right.
Less than a mile down the road there will be a divided section of highway
designed for left hand turns. A white sign on the right reads "New
Albany - 11 miles." There is another sign which reads "Wyalusing
High School, Home of the Rams". Make a left at this place.
7. You will cross the Susquehanna River and then go up a steep mountain
road. Three miles down this road, another hard top road will come in from
the right. Just before that is a red barn on the right, and a highway
gravel dump on the left. On the corner is a sign which says "New
Albany 8". Turn right.
8. That road ends in New Albany. Make a left there onto Rt 220.
9. Pass through the village. As you leave, you will go around a bend
in the road and down an incline. As you come out of that,on the left

1. Northeast Extension to exit 131 at Clarks Summit.
2. Once in Clarks Summit, you are on 6W and 11N.
3. After about 9 miles, Rts 6 and 11 separate. Just before the separation,
about 100 yards, there is a diner, the Bluebird, on the right. There is
a small sign that says, "Tunkhannock - 9." Rt 6 bears right
turn at that point. Stay on Rt 6 to Tunkhannock.
4. Pass through Tunkhannock. After you ascend a very steep hill on the
other side, you will pass by the Tyler Memorial Hospital on the right.
About 2 miles past there after ascending another steep hill, will be the
turn off for Rt. 87 on the left. There is a signal there (the second one).
5. 7. You will take Rt. 87 into Dushore (about 15 - 20 miles).
8. In the center of town, you will come to a red light. Make a right onto
Rt. 220N.
9. You will be on 220 for 6 miles. At 6 miles, the road will open up and
there will be line of businesses on the right. The last one is the Welles
Mill Gas Station. Across from that, on the left is our road, Sayman Rd.
Turn left.
10. IAM Counseling and Retreat Center is 1 1/4 miles up that road. At
about 1 mile is a fork in the road. Bear left. Stay on that dirt road
until you come to a cluster of buildings at the top of a steep hill. A
sign for IAM Counseling and Retreat Center is on a small white building
on the left hand side. There is parking on either side of that building.

1. Take Rt 15 to I 80.
2. Take I 80 1 exit East to I 180 West (actually north).
3. Proceed North on I 180 to Rt 220 North.
4. Proceed North on Route 220 to Dushore.
5. Approximately six miles North of Dushore will be your left hand turn
onto Sayman Road. Landmarks for that turn will be the first major cluster
of buildings and businesses since you left Dushore. On the right is:
1. A small diner (D's Diner).
2. A mobile home park.
3. A Service Station
4. Welles Mill Gas Station which is attached to a house with a double
decker porch in the front. The turn onto Sayman Road is directly across
from the Gas Station. If you find yourself in the village of New Albany,
you have missed the turn and you will have to turn around and retrace
your steps.

about 1 mile is a fork in the road. Bear left. Stay on that dirt road

1. Northeast extension to exit 105. You will exit onto Route 115 North
toward Wilkes Barre. Route 115 will merge with Route 309 after about 5
miles. You will continue on Route 309 North for about 20 miles.
2. 309 will junction with Route 415. At the junction, Route 415 bears
straight ahead and 309 bears right. The Dallas Shopping Mall and a Friendly's
Restaurant are at the junction.
3. You will be on Route 415 for 2 1/2 miles. At the junction of 415 and
118 will be a Turkey Hill Mini Mart on the right. You will turn left onto
Route 118.
4. You will be on Route 118 for 18 miles. Route 487 North will be on the
right. There is a Red Rock Mountain General Store on the left at the turn.
5. Take Route 487 to its end in Dushore. When you come to the end which
is a stop sign, you will bear left and proceed to the red light.
6. Turn right at the signal onto Route 220 North. Approximately six miles
north of Dushore will be your left hand turn onto Sayman Road. Landmarks

since you left Dushore. On your right is:
